Pre-Natal Yoga: In-Person and Virtual
Join me for a healing and revitalizing Pre-Natal Yoga class! I am a certified and registered Pre-Natal Yoga (R-PYT) teacher as well as a trained Birth Doula and Holistic Birth Educator. Through these fields of study and expertise, I work to support all moms-to-be on their pregnancy journey, from conception to birth.
I offer both private one-on-on classes and private small group classes for you and a group of friends. Our classes will be specifically designed to support and meet your changing physical, emotional, and spiritual needs during this transitional time.
What are the benefits of pre-natal yoga?
Pre-Natal Yoga is magical! Every pregnancy experience is different, but studies have proven that a regular practice can help: lower your blood pressure, reduce the risk of pre-term labor and complications, improve your sleep, lessen morning sickness symptoms, decrease lower back pain, stabilize your mood, and improve your delivery experience.
What should you expect during a class?
Your class experience will be custom designed to fit your body, mind, and spirit’s personal needs depending on where you are in your pregnancy. However, each class will include breath practices (pranayama), gentle stretching, a set of Yoga postures (asanas), and a final relaxation (savasana) and/or meditation.
Are there special safety guidelines for prenatal yoga?
Pre-Natal Yoga is both a safe and beneficial practice for the majority of pregnant women. Nonetheless, you should always consult with your health care provider before beginning a Pre-Natal Yoga program. Throughout your personal Pre-Natal program, we will always make necessary adjustments to ensure your physical needs are met safely.
